Just arrived back from a week's skiing near Morzine in France. A group of 20 of us went (us 4, Paul & Karen Fallen & kids, Steve & Berni Rapecki & kids and Kerry & Nikki and kids). Four skied for the first time - Elspeth, Harry Fallen, Connor Rapecki & Brennan Whiteside. Ski school was great, and Elspeth cracked the button lift by the end of the week, collecting her ski school badge and certificate as well.
We had about 12 inches of new snow on the first day, and good weather through the week.
Various establishments enjoyed (endured?) our custom, and we went out for a couple of evening meals with the full complement of 20. Chaos was enjoyed by all - with hot stones, molten cheese, & raw meat and small tired skiers making a potent, if eventually succesful combination!
Thanks to Kerry for some lessons for Helen, who felt great after her red run conquests. Fraser also loved the sledging & rides up and down in the bubble, despite a sledging face plant with resulting bloody nose!
I hope everyone else had as good a time as we did. Elspeth can't wait for next year already!
[p.s. Kerry - I hope your last run this morning after we'd left in the new powder resulted in a guilt-ridden trip home (likely!)].
