Boys weekend skiing, 5th - 8th Feb 2009

A weekend with Will (Bentley), Kerry Whiteside, Gav Werrett, Nick Wilson-Jones & myself at Will's parents' place in St Jean d'Aulps, near Morzine. Seanie unfortunately couldn't make it due to an injury sustained when not holding the handrail.

Heavy snow in Bristol & Stansted, along with a plane stuck on the runway at City airport, meant it was a miracle we all made it out on the Thursday night. It was lucky we did though as most airports were completely closed on the Friday.

Conditions were good, and improved hugely with approx a foot of new snow on the Friday night, and perhaps another foot on the Saturday night. Consequently, Sunday was amazing - low visibility as it was still snowing heavily, but the conditions off-piste in La Grande Terche (the little resort where the apartment is) were incredible. A fitting birthday present!

Naturally, we showed the mountain, and any onlookers, a thing or two about off-piste skiing, and about falling over. We did that quite a lot. A brilliant day to round off a brilliant weekend though.

In this first video, Gav and Nick show their love for the snow by getting a real close look.... Will is naturally looking composed and tidy. Sickening!

After clearly learning nothing from Gav & Nick's slight technical problems - I came next....

And then Kerry...
